VietNamNet Bridge – On the morning of March 26, the HCM City Exhibition Information Centre inaugurated a photo exhibition titled Vietnam – Vision Rising Up by Slavko Jankovic, a Vietnam Airlines pilot.

All the 60 exhibited photos were taken by S.Jankovic during flights. Each captures the beauty of Vietnamese nature with beautiful clouds, oceans, rivers, paddies, and mountains. S.Jankovic has taken picture of all the regions he has flown over, from Son La, Sa Pa, Dien Bien and Hanoi in the North, to Hoi An, Buon Ma Thuot, Dan Nang, Qui Nhon, Tuy Hoa, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and HCM City in Central and Southern Vietnam.

Born in 1947 in Serbia, S.Jankovic has been working as a pilot for many airlines throughout the world. He fell in love with photography in childhood, and that love has only increased since he became a pilot. In 2000, he graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. For the last 3 years, he has been a chief pilot at Vietnam Airlines. He said Vietnam’s beauty fascinated him who took hundreds of photos about the country, some of which won awards.

His exhibition is taking place at Lam Son Park in District 1 and will last until April 6, 2007.
